A Date with The Big Apple

Buddakan 75 Ninth Avenue

Buddakan delivers modern Asian Cuisine and is one the most ‘chic an hip’ restaurants down town. We booked a month before our honeymoon to secure a 7pm Saturday slot and we were so thrilled we did. The food and service was incredible, the cocktails were delicious and the atmosphere was electric. Being a huge Sex and the City fan seeing the long table that was featured in the film was extremely exciting! We really enjoyed the experience and would not hesitate in going back here on our next visit!

Gemma 335 Bowery Street

Gemma restaurant which is part of the Bowery Hotel serves the most delicious breakfasts. My husband Chris had the French Toast which was sweet, doughnut-like heaven. I had poached egg on toast which was a lighter option but equally satisfying! In New York waking up early to have breakfast is one of the best things you can do and soaking up the atmosphere in this restaurant is a real treat.

Wogies Bar 44 Trinity Place, Greenwich Village

Wogies bar is a great place to go for a pint and to soak in NY life. It’s great to watch New Yorkers arriving to have a drink with friends after work, it has such a good atmosphere!

Rooftop Bar NY (2) Rooftop Bar NY

The Peninsula Hotel, Salon De Ning Rooftop Bar

Wow, this bar is amazing. I did a bit of research before our trip to find out where we could find a rooftop bar. We arrived at Salon De Ning around 6:30 on our last night in NY, not expecting to be able to find a seat. We ordered our drinks (which were very pricey – $100 for 4 drinks) and with luck on our side sat in two of the 8 available seats on the rooftop bar. The view was incredible. Overlooking NY with a cocktail and my Husband beside me was one of the best times of my life. It was the perfect way to end our Honeymoon.
